Voices Of The Oppressed - How It All Started
Back in 2015, the story of a young Kenyan girl who was facing oppression and abuse in Saudi Arabia was brought to my attention. The moment I went public with her story on my Facebook page, the best way to describe it was "I opened a can of worms." I found myself ensnared in a wild world of horror tales from physical abuse, bestiality, rape, malnutrition, verbal insults, unjustified imprisonment and deaths as dozens of Kenyans opened up and narrated the physical and emotional abuse they faced from their employers. It was a nightmare which inspired me to launch this campaign named "VOO" which is an acronym for "Voices Of The Oppressed."
